Developing Our People

We have a rapidly developing infrastructure of people development activities.

At the heart of this lies ADVANCE, our performance management system which helps all of our employees focus on their job and developmental goals and maps out a pathway for them to progress within the company.

At ASCO everything and everyone starts with ARRIVAL, our structured induction programme. Beyond this our people can progress through a range of safety, skills and management development options.

In line with the development of our extensive infrastructure of safety policies and procedures we have developed a broad range of safety training initiatives which focus on both the procedural and behavioural aspects of safety.

We have a modern apprentice programme and support employees pursuing technical qualifications through further education.

Aspire ASPIRE is our core programme for supervisory and management skills development
it operates at three levels and each year around 60 supervisors and managers take part. As well as developing their core management skills through ASPIRE our business leaders can also access a regular programme of ASCO Masterclasses which focus on specific leadership, management and professional issues and are delivered by senior ASCO personnel and outside speakers
