Walter Robertson – Northern North Sea
 |
“I started with ASCO in 1985. From 1990 I undertook a number of managerial roles including Fuels, Engineering, and Resource Management through to 1998 when I was offered the opportunity to start up Enviroco Ltd our new JV waste management business. This was a particularly satisfying time where we witnessed this business growing from zero to £12m t/o in 2005. |
| This was achieved by having an excellent team of people in the key financial, commercial and operational positions. In 2006 I rejoined the ASCO business as Director of Operations and in February of this year was delighted to take up the challenge to lead the new NNS business”. |
Rob Crosbie – North America
 |
“I first met with ASCO in 1992 when my family business was looking to partner with a firm that had logistics experience in order to bid on the work developing in Offshore Newfoundland. That first visit resulted in a JV being established in 1995. I've been the President of ASCO Canada since and earlier this year was honored to have been asked to take on the role of President - North America |
| We have been very successful in maintaining a strong work and service focus within the business unit which has resulted clients renewing or providing additional business. We have developed a strong safety focus and look forward to continuing to keep a tight focus on safety issues” |
John Gransaull – Southern America and the Caribbean
 |
“I Joined in January 2001 to manage the Trinidad operation. Since that time we have introduced a step change in safety and operational management of the facility. We have achieved a lot with respect to defining a new level of competence and ensuring that the work-force can deliver on this. |
| As a service integrator, our successes pivot around our implemented strategies designed to provide our customers with the most suitable, seamless, cost effective and easy to use service possible.” |
Roger Everitt – Southern North Sea
 |
“It’s almost 15 years now since I joined ASCO – I was appointed to Great Yarmouth in late 1998 but have seen service in a variety of places since joining the business – Peterhead, Aberdeen, Immingham, Holland, Ireland and Venezuela. The success the SNS team has enjoyed is evident in our growing markets share. |
This has been driven by a team effort by all our staff and a desire to offer our customers best value.
The North Sea Gas Industry started in the Southern North Sea in the mid sixties and nothing has stood still since.. Adaptability to change is now a way of life” |
Dan Taylor – Enviroco
 |
“I joined Enviroco as a consultant in September 1998 and became a member of staff in June 1999. My previous roles were with Sidlaw Packaging as initially Divisional Finance Director and latterly General Manager of both Venus Flexible Packaging and Transrap. |
I have worked with the Scottish Cooperative Wholesale Society, Scottish Brick, Whyte & MacKay and Metal Box. I am now the MD of Enviroco, having been both Operations Manager and Commercial Manager previously.
From a standing start in 1998, we have grown turnover to around £25m in 2006. We have not lost a single Contract since we started up Enviroco with our very first award being from Phillips Petroleum (now ConocoPhillips). We won the Shell PSV Tank Cleaning tender in 1999 and have a relationship with them since that award, culminating in becoming their Integrated Waste Managers in November 2003.
The challenges to our business surround the need to compete in a marketplace where both competitors and customers are merging and becoming larger, ever changing legislation, the introduction of new, locally based, treatment options, the expansion of Enviroco through both organic growth and acquisitions and finally and most importantly, developing a culture within the business which ensures that our people and our subcontractors work safely in all aspects of our business, assess operational risks sensibly, are environmentally aware and have fun while they are working for us.” |
Donald Michie – International Development
 |
“I joined ASCO in 1995 and since then have worked as the Group Marketing Manager, Vice President of Sales and Market Development as well as the International Market Development Manager. During that time, I initiated and grew business in the North Sea market as well as in Trinidad and Brazil and I have been involved in global business support ever since. |
My previous experience includes the diving and construction market as well as in the shipping industry where I have been involved in brokering, chartering and working for ship-owners. My current position as the International Development Director allows me the opportunity to help create organic growth for the company and to be closely involved in the continued international development and expansion of ASCO overseas.
“ASCO has a pool of talent with global experience and this reputation has encouraged a loyal client base. We are continually updating our systems to provide the best service possible, skilled at adapting to each client’s needs and are sympathetic to their local working environment. Our strength is found where it matters most – in the expertise, experience and professionalism with which we handle every operation.” |
